The long awaited elevator is actively in use.
The elevator provides access from the main floor lobby area to lower level Lounge area and second floor Banquet Hall. Making the building more handicapped accessible.
The main floor lobby area work included a complete renovation of both the Ladies and Men’s restrooms. As well as providing access to the elevator.
We would like to thank the Albany Elevator Union and it’s members who volunteered their time and technical experience in the installation of the elevator.
We would also like the thank the various members of the Sons of the American Legion that volunteered many hours of their time and labor to complete all of the construction work needed to make this project such a great success. The size and complexity of this project has been completed masterfully. Your dedication to the Post, including your time, talents and skills are greatly appreciated.
